Spring Bloom(ers)

You know that feeling you get when you’re in a crowded area, say a club, and you get the overwhelming urge to steal something that won’t be of any use to you? Yeah me either. But, someone else did on Saturday. My iPhone was stolen right out of my purse. My cross body purse. My cross body purse that was on my body at the time. I’m not sure what they are going to do with an (now) inactive iPhone that will be taken away if it tries to be activated under another account. Smart move (smooth) criminal.

In other news, I entered the Spring Bloom contest over at Chictopia. I am not going to ask you to vote for me, I am going to beg I am going to simply put it out there (or rather (click) here). Can I tell you how much I am in love with these shorts. I never buy anything full price at Urban Outfitters, but I had to with these. I needed them and I needed them that day. I don’t care if I never wear them again, just looking at them is worth it. But I will totally wear them again. To the point that readers of this blog will be sick of them.

Um, hello? Pockets! I had a tiny doubt about the price and then I discovered the pockets.

I often like to sit in piles of dirt, rocks, and ants to ponder the day.

And then I laugh at myself because that is just silly.

Did I mention that my friend Alyssa took these photos for me? She did. Did I mention that she is an awesome concert photographer? She is. Did I mention she has never taken style photos before and claimed she didn’t know what she was doing? I think she lied.

I feel the need to admit that for the past two days I have put my shoes on the wrong foot. Maybe I should go back to preschool. (That totally makes you want to take a nap in the middle of your work day doesn’t it?) Apparently I am not that observant. It must be apparent to strangers too, since some (insert curse words and inappropriate names here) guy stole my phone right off me.

Lesson learned today? Be observant. Be observant of everything from your expensive phone to the difference between your left and right. Also, voting for me in the Chictopia Spring Bloom contest may result in virtual treats for you.
