A plain morning

Mondays are not fundays. Unless you make them. So, let’s make today a funday.

Let’s also make today not so unbearably hot, shall we? I’m talking to you Mother Nature. It almost becomes a problem when all you can wear is a tee and shorts. Of course, I make it much worse on myself by adding socks and boots, but let’s not stray from the real issue here: Global warming.

Just kidding. I don’t talk about worldly issues. They’re boring and start wars.

I bought these shorts a year ago and have only worn them for the first time. Why? I lost weight and they became too big. (#humblebrag FTW). And because I am so smart, I just now realized that is what belts are for. So now, I can wear my vintage Levi’s, thanks to my belt!

I am also getting an urge to DIY the crap out of these. I’m thinking some bleach. Possibly some studs. But, definitely some bleach. And if you’re unlucky, I may document it.

Hey, need a bottle opened? I carry a bottle opener around my neck now. I’m an alcoholic prepared.

Ugly Mug pointed out how much I use strikethroughs in my blog posts. Sarcasim is hard to read, strikethroughs are annoying my answer.

So, I had this idea. An idea that I thought was brilliant and would make for amazing photos. I thought I was brave enough to stand on the edge of the bridge, because, you know, I am terrified of heights.

Do you not see the pure terror on my face?

Maybe I am the only one that can tell how absolutely awkward, terrified, and anxious I look in these photos. I am definitely the only one whose knees are shaking as I relive this moment.

Let’s end this with one more crotch shot, shall we?

Thank you to whoever decided to cut up mom jeans to make cute shorts.

  2. You are so funny! Personally, I am a big strike through supporter. Love this casual look. Can’t wait to see what you do with the shorts. As soon as I saw them, my first thought was studs.

  3. LOVE your humor & sarcasm. Seriously – I am also a BIG fan of whomever decided to cutoff mom jeans into cute shorts – we should have a mom-jean cut-off-a-thon-party! This should also give you a chance to make use of your bottle opener/preparedness.

    Let’s follow each other!

Bring on the strike-throughs/sarcasm, I can’t get enough of it. And could those shorts be any more perfect? I say this like I wear jean shorts a lot. More like I stare at people who wear them with envy and I wish I didn’t look so disproportional in any shorts. Also, kudos for risking your life for great shots!
