Warning: Lazy outfit ahead.

We all have those days or nights when we just need something to throw on for a last minute errand. Just because I am a blogger, does not mean that I can’t look a mess when I run out. In fact, I normally do. I am too lazy to try to look good when running out for twenty minutes. Call it my last minute uniform if you will.

I wore this during a recent late evening trip to Trader Joe’s to make portobello burgers, courtesy of Jessica’s blog of course.

By the way, I love going to the grocery store. I don’t know if it’s because I love food or because it makes me feel like a grown up. When I was unemployed, to entertain myself, I would walk to the grocery store daily. Yes, I consider grocery shopping entertainment.

Side topic: I love things that make me feel like a grown up, like running errands and using the word “errand”.

Seriously, make these “burgers“. You will not miss the meat.

I think I love Trader Joe’s so much because of the samples. I will admit that I have stopped there before just for the sample. Even though I should be, I am not ashamed.

Oh yeah, and I wear glasses occasionally; to drive at night, to watch TV or movies, and to see what trees really look like.

And here ends my non sponsored post about Trader Joe’s.

You also now know that I am the most boring person on Earth.

  1. You look super in glasses. You could do those eyeglass commercials for Lenscrafters et al.

  2. What were you sampling at TJs? It looked like pancakes.

  8. What a fun post and I love the casual outfit and how your hair is so pretty but not overdone for shopping. Also, I think it’s so clever you used your shopping trip at Trader Joes for the background. We all shop there but I’ve never seen it in a blog so it’s a great idea

  18. I like your last minute uniform. Mine is usually sweat pants! I love grocery shopping too but not putting all the crap away when I get home!

  19. I love the sweater! I hate getting “dressed up” for short “errands”. I also love the grocery store and have been guilty of having a small meal on those samples.

When I run out for a few minutes I tend to look seriously lazy too – your lazy look is working really well though, that sweater’s got the perfect slouchiness.

That’s an awfully cute lazy day outfit! I love a big sweater for those days when I just can’t quite be bothered. I hate grocery shopping though, because I’m terrible at knowing what to buy. I get a ton of healthy stuff with grand plans to make delicious meals and then it all goes bad before I can cook it, or I buy a bunch of junk and feel like crap about myself. It also doesn’t help that I never feel like I can afford it. I do love TJ’s though.

  26. ” to drive at night, to watch TV or movies, and to see what trees really look like” – Those are the EXACT 3 reasons I ever don my glasses as well. I especially love the tree one, especially in Colorado. I recently terrified my parents when picking them up fromt he airport because I put my glasses on halfway throught the drive and exclaimed “Look at all the DETAILS of those mountains!”

  27. I like the glasses on u! That’s me every day at work, writing and rewriting GET CONTACTS on my to do list 🙂 xA

  28. I love your sweater and your glasses! Ha I enjoy grocery shopping only if I know I’m going to go back home and make something delicious!

  30. Cute sweater! You and I must have the same vision because I wear glasses for those exact things, and generally can’t see far away otherwise. So if you waive at me from a distance, it’s a problem. Clearly not big enough of one to get contacts though.
