“Socks and tights?”
Yes, Ugly Mug, socks and tights. Together; at the same time. I get cold easily. Plus, I think it looks good. So, socks and tights it is. It brings me back to grade school days of plaid jumpers, tights, and white, ruffle, socks.
The rest of this outfit made me feel like a gypsy. I felt like I should be in a traveling band, playing the tambourine and participating in peaceful sit ins. Instead, we visited the shortest railway in the world; Angels Flight Railway. It only travels 298 feet. We did not get a chance to ride the railway because we were each short 50 cents to ride. It costs 50 cents a person to ride. It was awkward asking if they took cards. They do not.

Are you planning on Black Friday shopping? My mom and Aunt go every year, while the rest of us laze around at home, watching movies and eating pie for breakfast. The one time we decide to venture out was to go to Goodwill around noon. There were definitely not any stampedes.
I’ve been noticing that a lot of stores and brands are holding online Black Friday sales (in addition to their Cyber Monday sales) and I am a little more than excited. Now I can have my pie and eat it too. And shop. Greedily shop for myself. But don’t worry, maybe you can borrow my new sweater. I am particularly excited for Naomi and Lavender’s Black Friday sale! Check out their Facebook where they will randomly select fans to receive up to 40% off discounts (from Friday to Monday). It could be your (and hopefully my) lucky day!
Do you have any Black Friday or Thanksgiving traditions?
Pst, this is the bench from 500 Days of Summer aka one of the best non love story movies ever.
The holidays give me such anxiety; but good anxiety. The anxiety that makes you want to burst out of your skin because you are so excited for all that is coming up; I just don’t want to miss a thing. Not a twinkle of a light, the whiff of a fireplace, the warmth of hot chocolate or the overall happiness in the air. I am such a little kid around the holidays.
That’s a lie. I am always a little kid.
Fun fact: I posted these pictures the opposite order that we shot them. Who knows why.
Did you know Crossroads Trading Co has new clothing too? I pretty much die for that section too. See this coat? New good at Crossroads – too good to pass up!

Love your hat!

Love that jacket! The print and colour palette are great. And I agree- eating pie for breakfast sounds waaay better than Black Friday shopping. Even though it’s not Thanksgiving on Thursday for us Canadians, Canada has still adopted the crazy Black Friday sale mentality, so I am steering clear of stores this weekend!
hold the phone….i am LOVING this look, especially the skirt. And i have never been shopping on Black Friday but I have worked it in a retail store….I had to be there at 5 am…..I will NEVER do it again!

I must try this socks and tights combo…it does look good! And anything that will keep me warm in winter is a plus in my book.
LOVE this entire outfit girl, one of my faves from you!

This is one of my favorite outfits from you! Gypsy outfits make me miss my long hair! I am only planning on going to thrift stores on Black Friday! I am kind of disappointed though because I only have gotten one sale notice from the local Savers for a measly 25% off! That and mayyyybe a bit of online browsing 🙂
Enjoy your holiday!

Chic and stylish! Love these shots! (:

The sweater is superb! xx
your gorgeous and that sweater/jacket is superb! 😀 wonderful! xoRachel
Awesome outfit, everything about it just really screams autumn. Honestly, no one in their right mind can hate on socks and tights especially when they are paired in such a lovely way… socks and sandals, that’s a different story 😀 I wish we had good shopping deals like the ones around Thanksgiving here also…
I LOVE the boho vibe from this look.
Keep an eye out on my blog later today. I’ll be featuring this as one of the looks I love today.

I love 500 days of summer – and that bench! 🙂 My sister and I always brave the crowds and pull an all-nighter for Black Friday. It’s kind of a family tradition. This year with so many stores opening early on Thanksgiving day though is seriously cutting into my pie-eating (and wine drinking) time.

For the record, I love your socks and tights! I’m also terribly jealous that you got to sit on the 500 Days of Summer bench. 0_0 That’s my face.
Keep up the general coolness! It makes my day, always 🙂
Smiles and all the best,

I wear tights and socks all the time. It just gets too cold at this time of year to only have one or the other. Tights, socks and boots every day please. Also your coat is fantastic and I will be trying to track one down immediately.
