Someone else’s song

If you follow me on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, you might have already seen that I did a shoot with Darya Dyatlova Photography last weekend. If you’re not, what the hell? It is completely different than anything I have ever done, and so far the images have turned out amazing. Being made up, almost unrecognizable even, is a chance to be someone else; to play out a part of your life, your emotions, that you don’t normally express.

This is only one of the images so far, but one of my favorites.

You can check out more of my photos at Darya’s Facebook page.

I cannot wait to do more creative photoshoots!  That is a hint to all photographers!

These outfitphotos were taken during a day date with Ugly Mug. Day dates are my favorite. They seem just a tiny bit more special than a date at night, which are expected and feel somewhat stuffy. Day dates end up being more creative, laid back, fun, and generally longer.

Besides, you know when a boy takes you out in the day, he wants show you off.

So, socks. I have had an overwhelming need to wear a lot of big, cozy socks this season. Whether you see them or not, I am probably wearing them.

I’ve always had an unusual obsession with socks. I am usually gifted them at Christmas, birthdays, and as souvenir. Keep ’em coming, I get cold easily!

Have you started Christmas shopping? After creating my gift guide, I felt this sudden anxious urge to get all my Christmas shopping done as soon as possible.

In fact, I get very anxious during the Christmas season every year; I spend all my energy making sure that everyone else has a good Christmas, and sometimes it passes by me. I resolve to enjoy my Christmas this year; at the same time creating a special day for everyone else.

    Holy hell, woman! Gorgeous!
    Also, I love the jacket.

  4. I love the photos where the sun hits your face. Beautiful!! I’m totally opposite regarding socks. I always lose one foot, and never wear matching pairs. I also prefer to be barefoot !

Also love the pattern on your shirt. So matchy!

  5. Gorgeous! I tend to be a last minute shopper, and am feeling the pressure to not do that this year now that I’m a grownup. All these gift guides sure are helpful though!

First off, that is so cool that you got to do that photoshoot. The photo is lovely.

What is also lovely, is the outfit. Love that hat!

I’ve done some Christmas shopping, but not all (need to get on that!). I’m like you though and just trying to enjoy the season too.

  26. I realize I’m comment-bombing your page, but that picture is outrageous. You need to audition for top model. What a transformation! You’re always gorgeous, but you’re right – this is in a completely different way.

It must feel wonderful to know that you can really master so many different looks. Makes dressing up and fashion so much more fun!

Can’t wait to see the rest of the pics.

    • Haha thank you Gabrielle! No need to apologize.. I like comments 😉 You’re making me blush! xox
