Let’s start this week with a little local love!

I love shopping local – I definitely find more unique pieces. There are so many other reasons to shop local, including supporting job creation in your community and local prosperity. You also get to know the owners, talk to them, learn about the clothes and create a relationship with them. It’s a more intimate shopping experience.

Mass produced stores give me anxiety; where do you start? Why is this dress in four different places? What am I missing? How many people are wearing the exactly same thing as I am right now? Sometimes it’s just too damn much. Not to say that I don’t shop at those stores; Forever 21 is a routine stop for me. And you all know about my love for Urban Outfitters.

But when I am looking for something more unique, I turn to a smaller boutique. They even inspire me to unintentially rhyme.

I was so excited to get in touch with Lacadia of Shop Cuffs here in Sacramento asked me to model for her shop! She has such beautiful vintage pieces online and in store.

  7. i totally agree…..ive started shopping locally and doing more vintage shopping because im tired of seeing the same crap every day!!! those pieces are gorgeous…..and you look gorgeous in them 🙂

  63. Large department stores totally make me anxious… I definitely prefer small boutiques! Luckily, I live in the city so there are so many wonderful shops here to shop. 🙂
