It’s been a long, stressful week, but we made it to Friday! My car died, I’ve worked 13 hour days all week, and our Vegas trip had to be cancelled. Not the best week, but I’m trying my best to see the bright side of it all. I was in a pretty low funk for a couple of days but David dragged me out of it, whether I wanted to be or not (hint: I did not)! Since our weekend was unexpectedly cancelled, we have the weekend wide open. I’m sure it will be filled with cleaning, errands and hopefully a nice date to celebrate our 9 year anniversary on Sunday! We have a new anniversary now since the wedding, but June 14th will always be so special to me; Gooey, mushy special!

Since this week was so stressful, I didn’t have as much time to peruse the Intranets as normal, so I didn’t have enough Friday Favorites recommendations for this post. Now, I did have time to do a bit of online shopping; I don’t know about you, but shopping is the ultimate de-stresser. Even if it’s just for fun, online window shopping. Take a peak at some of the outfits I put together with my favorite finds from Sheinside.com!

Make sure and tell me what your favorite outfit from below is!

Have a beautiful weekend!

This would be the perfect outfit to spend the weekend in, running errands, grabbing brunch, anything! I’m so in love!

This is my dream day to night date outfit! Super cute sneakers for day time can easily be swapped out for heels, but let’s be honest, flats are in and my feet could not be happier!

A little boho, a little 90’s, and a lot adorable! I would reapeat this outfit more than I would like to admit!

Happy Fri-YAY!

This week was a long one. I’m looking forward to seeing some family this weekend and taking it a little slower than the last few. We don’t have any big Easter plans besides brunch and possibly a flea market in Hollywood. I haven’t made the time to find a church in Los Angeles; I do feel a bit strange going to one other than the one I grew up in. Is anyone familiar with any  Catholic churches in the Los Angeles area?

I missed my Friday Favorites last week, but not to worry, you will be fully entertained this week! Click the bold to see what’s been going on!

  • The best uncle in the entire world.
  • Goodness gracious, my biological clock must be ticking because kids are the cutest things ever.
  • From kids to old people. I adore old people. Especially when they have humor!
  • I already loved walking through the rain, but this gives me another reason to.
  • Ok, I would die. Mariah Carey just singing her own songs in the car.
  • Attention Men: Do not read this. All of the maybe one of you that come across this blog: you’ll be sorry. On the other hand, Women: Spot. On.No pun intended. Ok, maybe a little bit.
  • If I didn’t realize it before, I do now; The majority of my Instagram feed is made up of bloggers.
  • I may not be a Directioner, but I am a part of the #BackstreetArmy and I went through the same thing when Kevin Richardson left the group in 2006. Luckily for me, he came back a few years go. There is hope, girls! Until then, there is cookies and sleep overs with your fellow fans.
  • So! Excited! Key & Peele’s Substitute Teacher sketch is being made into a movie!
  • If you don’t love Tom Hanks, I don’t love you. Also, a live action Woody may be the best thing I’ve ever seen.
  • I live in the worst city for traffic, and I can’t blame a guy for trying to get around it!
  • I’ve never been in love with the term “plus size”  – a woman is a woman and her size is her size. Men don’t have clothing ranges for “plus” sizes; why do women have to be scrutinezed for being all types of shapes and sizes?

Happy Friday!

It has been nice to lay low these last could of days after the craziness of moving and starting a new job all at the same time. We celebrated my Mom’s birthday with a family dinner, home cooked by my brother, which is always a treat! I think I am still full from last night! The rest of my time home will be visiting with friends and family and then I am driving back down to LA solo.  I am aleady planning my next trip home for my cousin’s wedding in May!

Enjoy what I have enjoyed this week!

  • Adding anothing branch to his degrees of separation, Kevin Bacon is finally getting into the bacon business with this short web film.
  • Whoever this was, I would like to be friends with him. C-SPAN should have let him finish; The Fresh Prince of C-Span, ladies and gentlemen.
  • I know you don’t want to admit it, but everyone has binged watched NetFlix, Hulu, HBO, what have you. Do you know there are rules to binge watching? It’s not as easy as it seems!
  • An acoustic version of any song is usually better than the original. Hozier’s acoustic version of “Take Me to Church” is soul wrenching.
  • I used to use abbreviations when I texted, i.e. “U”, “2”, etc. My husband (then boyfriend) once made a comment that he didn’t like it, and I immediately began spelling out every work in texts, and still do to this day. Once he claimed he doesn’t remember saying that, but I’ve kept it up, and typically use proper puncuation, as well. I will never stop the use of my emoticons, however! What kind of texter are you?
  • I assume everoyone has seen Gone Girl by now. If not, don’t click the following link. If you have, you know why I, and the FBI, will be forever creeped out by Rosamund Pike.
  • A man bought thousands of undeveloped negatives from the 1950’s-60’s from an unknown photographer. What he found is stunning. Vivian Maier had a beautiful eye for street photography and it’s so wonderful that her work is now able to be shared.
  • Unless you are new to the blog, you know about my Backstreet Boys obsession. I thought I had seen it all, but I was mistaken. This commercial for Outlooks at Bealls from 1993 is my favorite thing of all time!
  • I am not ashamed: I am a selfie addict. I am also not exactly in love with museums, but I do tolerate them because my husband loves them. I think the best compromise would be to visit the world’s first selfie museum. Yes! The art in this museum is made for you to literally be in it. I’m sorry, I may be super vain, but this sounds like so much fun!
  • Arguably the best segment from The Tonight Show, Lip Sync Battle, is coming to Spike TV! I consider myself a pretty good lip syncer, as I am sure many of my fellow communtors would back me up on, so I think this show may be added to my TV rotation.
  • I take most Yelp reviews with a grain of salt – they seem like they are typically written by irrationally angry people who are projecting, without leaving any constructive criticism. A play off Jimmy Kimmels Mean Tweets, these restaurant staff reading mean reviews on Yelp is actually pretty funny.
  • I will leave you to start your weekend with a strangely adorable chipmunk yawning and streching like a tiny little furry person.

I have not been able to say TGIF in a long time and mean it! When I worked at home, and on Saturdays (verrrryyyy early in the morning), I was more thankful for Saturday afternoon naps. This week, however, I am very much into thanking God that it’s Friday!

This photo is from my latest ModCloth shoot. I will share more soon! Stolen from the wonderful Christina Emilie’s Instagram!
I wish all of you babes a beautiful weekend! Please enjoy what made me smile this week! Be forewarned, there are a few tear triggering videos in this listt; happy tears though! I am such a cry baby.
  • Derek Zoolander and Hansel crashed the Valentino runway during Paris Fashion Week and it was like no time had passed at all since 2001! We have to wait an year for the sequal, but this short backstage video may help tide you over.
  • I am perpetually stuck in the 90’s and agree with the fact that 1999 was the greatest year in music. This reads like an overview of my music library.
  • Kids really do say the darndest things! I wish I was this cool when I was little. I wish I was this cool now! I may have a bit more hope for our future now; this little lady has her priorities straight!
  • Dance like no one’s watching! If only we could all have as much fun at work as this flight attendant does.
  • I know old people freak some people out, but I love them and find them so endearing! They have so much knowledge, so much to share, and have loved like we only dream of.  A 70 year old love letter was found in the sleeve of a record, belonging to a WWII vet and made its way back to him. I had to pause this video a few times to cry so many happy, ugly tears.
  • Tom Hanks is really winning the Internets lately: First, he hangs out with his old pal Wilson. Then, he stars in no other than Carly Rae Jepsen’s new music video. Now, he helps the Girl Scouts sell cookies.
  • This may have begun as an advertising gimmick, but the fact that everyone in this small town willingly took their time to take sign language lessons for a month to be able to speak to one hearing impaired man is pretty amazing.
  • I’m a bit behind, but who knew Kevin Spacey was such a great celebrity impressionist! Hilarious!
  •  I apologize for this next one; luckily, you probably still have your tissues handy! I cry at the drop of a hat even thinking about someone close to be passing, and I am so overwhelmed with grief watching this video. How sweet is it for her to get this little bit of help in her dark time.
  • I never went through the college phase of drinking heavily, but I have had my moments. I really resonate with this story of how this woman came out of a year without drinking. I don’t plan on giving it up, but I’m certain that I’ve reach my limits on blackout nights and wasting the next two days paying for it.
  • I am ending this Friday Favorites with a bit of a shameless non-self promotion: My brother’s bar  is nominated for Best Neighborhood Bar in Sacramento and it would mean the world to me if you took 3 seconds to give him a vote. You may not have been there, but you can trust me! Click here!

p.s. I just tried to show my husband the love letter video with the WWII Vet, and I broke down in tears before even pressing play. Seriously, if you’ll only click one link today, click that one.
