I don’t think the jumpsuit trend will ever end for me. It’s just too easy. Even when it goes back to just being for babies and little kids, I’ll still be here, wearing my jumpsuits, being more comfortable than you. Yes, it makes using the restroom more of a chore, especially if I have a jacket on, but I think the all day comfort wins. I don’t even rush to change into my sweats when I get home if I’m wearing a jumpsuit because it already feels like I’m in them. It’s genius, really.

And these platform sandals are everything to me and I’ve owned them for les than 48 hours. I wasn’t sure if they were silly or cute, but at this point, I don’t even care because I get the height of heels and the comfort of flats and they are everything I didn’t know I needed and now I don’t want to take them off. Also, I feel like a Spice Girl. You know they were all about the platforms.

So that’s my life right now.

Oh, and we got a puppy. Scroll to the bottom to see the cutest little girl ever!

Meet Phoebe. The sweetest, tiniest Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. And yes, I have to look up the spelling to both of those every. damn. time. But she’s worth it.

Guys, she’s two pounds. That’s how much butter goes into one frosting recipe. How much do you want to cry right now at this tiny two pound puppy that only wants to give you kisses? So much, right?

We know I love a good jumpsuit! I do have a couple more in my closet and wouldn’t be opposed to add to my growing collection!

Look, I do smile! I tend to not full on smile in blog photos – no reason why. I think I was smiling in theses photos because David was following me down the street, like my own personal paparazzi. This is actually my embarrassed smile; It was a Sunday morning, prime brunch time and the street traffic was heavy.

This is my last day before entering my last year of my twenties. It’s like my own personal New Year’s Eve. I have always thought that the real start of a new year was on your birthday, because, that literally is the end and beginning of a new year for you. I don’t make resolutions, but I do tend to make a mental list of goals and personal priorities to continue to better myself. I am hoping that this year I actually follow through. Maybe I should write it down! Has anyone ever done one of those “30 things before 30” goal lists and been successful with it?

I don’t know how I feel about getting older. I think I am generally okay with it; I’ve always been an old lady at heart anyway!

Apparently I don’t like looking directly into the camera! It must mean that I am becoming a real blogger, right? Just like having my jacket on my shoulders. What an annoying blogger habit, huh? Hey, I read forums, I know the snark surrounding bloggers. No one actally wears their jacket on their shoulders in real life, do they? Well, I do sometimes. Maybe not for a long period of time; possibly from the car to the door if it’s chilly. I get it, bloggers have some silly habits: jackets on shoulders, pretend walking, writing about their life like they crap roses and sunshine. I try not to commit any of those faux paus, but sometimes, it really is the best way to show off an outfit.

It’s all silly really. Who cares if someone takes a picture of an outfit on a day they didn’t actually wear it, kind of, sort of like this one. The one I stay away from is photoshop. Not only because I have no idea how to use photoshop, but because that’s just a lie; to your readers and yourself! I color my photos (on an iPhone app nonetheless, so cool, so professonal), but every little freckle is all me. It can be kind of hilarious to see how far some bloggers go. I don’t need to name names. It’s obvious enough. It’s also obvious it stems from deep self esteem issues. If you’re reading this: You. Are. Beautiful.

Does anyone else ready snarky blogger comments? Is it terrible that I do? It’s an addiction! I don’t chime in often because, really, there’s no reason to be mean to someone you don’t know for such supercifical reasons, but as a blogger sometimes I can take some advice from these readers, even if they aren’t talking about me specifically. That’s right, my blog isn’t cool enough to be talked about. Dude, I am all sorts of sick if I want my blog to be snarked on.

What are your favorite blogger faux paus?

Currently listening to Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Outloud” single on repeat. This was the song for our first dance at the wedding and I often listen to it on repeat for an embarassing amount of time. It makes me smile to remember our first dance. It was perfect. We took two dance classes and did exactly zero planned steps. We probably did about 3 dips because it was the only move we knew.

I also already miss my husband and I’ve only been away for a day. Super sappy, right.

I am, however, enjoying the real Fall weather in Nor Cal. Definitely not where I wore this outfit. I would have froze!

It’s Christmas time again! Yes, we still have to get through Thanksgiving, and I love Thanksgiving; it’s my second favorite holiday! But Christmas is my favorite thing ever! Christmas starts super early for me and I know I get super annoying to most people around me, but now everyone has pretty much accepted that the Christmas season starts before Thanksgiving. The Grove in LA is one of my favorite places during the Christmas season! The lights, the tree, the (fake) snow; it’s all so pretty!

We were going to go to The Grove’s Christmas tree lighting this weekend, but since we were not interested in any of the performers and we did not want to get there super early for just a chance to see these performers we did not care about, so we decided to wait and went Monday night. Sorry for the dark photos; I don’t normally do night photos, but I really love these ones because of all the Christmas lights. I definitely am in favor of the little white lights being a year around decoration. It makes city streets so much prettier!

Also, we saw Tom Bergeron at dinner and pretended to take a front facing selfie to get the darkest, blurriest picture of him to send to my mom. I’m cool.

I am headed home for Thanksgiving tomorrow! I know it is a bit early, but David is burried in work until Thanksgiving, so I thought it might be easier for me to stay out of his way by simply not being here. I have not visited home since the wedding, which was almost three months ago and that is quite a while for me, so I am super excited to see my family and my friends! We still have not had a chance to go through all the wedding photos and share them with anyone, so I am planning to force get together with my mom and sister and gush over them!

David will meet me in Sacramento the day before Thanksgiving, so we will still be spending the holiday together! My mom’s family comes into town and stays with us just that one day/night. We usually spend the day playing games with football in the background and at night my mom and aunt do the whole Black Friday thing whenever it happens to start that year, while the” kids” (who are all over 21 now) and dads, usually stay home with movies and finish all the pie. I think this year we may be spending some time at my brother’s bar Thanksgiving night, since my youngest cousin is finally 21!

My favorite part of Thanksgiving – besides all the food, family, love, blah blah – is our white elephant tradition. My mom and aunt gather up silly gifts for us to do a white elephant gift exchange each year. I don’t think anything is usually over $5, and they are the weirdest things they can find. One thing that comes to my mind is the “chicken poo” chapstick. Super yummy, right? Every year since this started, we have had a rubber fruit cake loaf and whoever gets it has to bring it back the next year!

Do you have any Thanksgiving traditions?

I actually have a list of other Christmas trees to go visit this year, including the, apparently, tallest Christmas tree in the country at the Citadel Outlets. It is 40-feet taller than the Rockefeller Christmas Tree in New York City!

Hey, look, I got dressed twice this week! Definitely winning!

One thing I like about LA is the opportunity to go to free movie screenings. I love going to the movies and when they are free, I love it more! The Mr and I went to see a screening of The Nest, the new Amy Pohler and Tina Fey movie coming out next year. It was really funny! But, other than that, mums the word because you sign a bunch of stuff and they would hunt me down and cut my head off if I said anything more.

Who has Halloween plans? I’m meeting with some friends at a local bar, but I’m not dressing up or probably even staying out passed midnight. Not for lacking of wanting to, I just have no imagination of DIY skills for a costume and it’s annoying repeating costumes several years in a row. Also, David doesn’t have a costume, so I decided to be myself so he can be himself! Also, I am such an old lady, but I think I was born an old lady so it’s not a huge surprise I am thinking about going to bed while everyone else is planning on going to some crazy parties. I work at 6 a.m. the next morning, and it’s damn hard to wake up that early on a weekend when no one else has to think of getting up for hours.

I’ve never been a huge Halloween person; I think because I am just looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas and Halloween tends to delay those holidays! I will call it here: next year, I will be a huge Halloween supporter! Now you have to hold me to that!

I will never be over sheer blouses or crop tops.

Also, we’re going apple picking this weekend and I am going to burst from excitment! It is the first official Autumn activity for us of the season, and I officially cannot be made fun of for listening to Christmas music once Halloween passes. Not that I haven’t already started, but I’m pretty sure it is more acceptable in November. Anyone else as crazy as I am?

Firstly, excuse the bitch face in every single one of these photos. I may not have been in the best mood when taking these pictures, and yet, I still did it. I almost waited a day, but then realized that if I waited a day, that day would most likely turn into a week, based off of my blogging track record as of late. I’m human. This means I am lazy and I procrastinate, even on doing something I love, and I have bad days.

I feel like maybe I’ve been having more bad days lately that good. Is post wedding depression a real thing? And not a real thing as in “It was the best day of my life, I want to relive it over and over again, I miss it so much!” (even though, YES), but as in, I have no idea what I am supposed to do now. I spent months immersed in this one very important, meaningful day and now it’s over. I don’t have a particularly stimulating day job, so it doesn’t keep me as distracted as I would like. I feel like I need another something to focus on, but I don’t feel the motivation I need to figure it out.

Has anyone experienced this feeling after the end of a life altering event or change?

I also may wear this outfit at least one a week, with or without the hat. It’s the easiest thing to throw on and look like I still paid attention when I got dressed. Honestly, this was the first time I put on makeup in about two weeks, maybe the third time I’ve been dressed in something other than pajamas or work out clothes. I work at home and now that I am full time, instead of part time, there is really no need for me to get dressed. I am definitely an instant pajama girl once I get home from anywhere, so you can imagine what working from home does! After work, I head to the gym, so pajamas and gym clothes have became my norm!

I need a kick in the butt for this rut I am in!

I am one of those crazy Christmas lovers, so I have no doubt that the holiday season will perk me right back up into my normal self! I have been perusing Pinterest for gift and DIY ideas for months now, and I am ready to begin to put them into action!

Not to worry, this will be my one and only depressing post. You have to choose to be happy and I am choosing to be happy to find something meaningful to focus on. Life isn’t all rainbows and butterflies as we would like it to be, and really, do you need another blog claiming that it is?

p.s. I am hoping I will be able to share wedding photos very soon! We have them all but we have SO many that we haven’t even had time to look at them all just yet!

These are the last set of photos from the studio night that we tried out a couple of weeks ago. While it was fun doing something a bit different, I’m not sure that the sets and background they offer are quite what I prefer for my outfit photos, which is why there is a lack of photos for this post. I do think that using the white background for Seeking Health posts can be fun, though!

I am back to LA from my wedding planning trip in Sacramento, and things are moving along! Once we book the DJ and the photographer, we pretty much have the whole picture and will just need to start on all the DIY and small details and day of logisitics of everything! It is very much a rustic, picnic theme! I know I keep saying I will share updates, but I really will later this week!

This is definitely a time in my life that is filled with excitment as well as anxiety and fear. Getting married is scary! I have never liked change; even positive change, has always been a hard adjustment for me. I think I am programmed for routine. Which is super lame, right? I was straight up just born an old lady. And not the super cool old ladies, like those purple hat ladies. I’d like to think I am a naturally fun, free wheelin’ kind of gal, but it has taken a lot for me to be able to let go of my anxiety and worries and just be.

I have definitely improved how I deal with change. Sometimes I crave change, even if I still have reservations, I do see myself making tiny baby steps towards acceptence that life is about movement, growth, and change, and all that being a good thing. Things may be good, but they cannot get better without change!

How do you deal with life changes? Do you like change or would you rather keep with a safe routine?
