I wore this a couple weekends ago, when it was still warm enough to. It has gotten pretty chilly around here quickly, which I am pretty happy about. I’d rather be cuddle up in some blankets and pillows with a big sweater and some hot chocolate than sweating it out in the hot sun. So, this is an outfit my boyfriend would not be a fan of because it has no shape. He thinks my maxi dresses look like curtains. Well, he happens to live six hours away, so I will wear my maxis and be comfortable!
*Maxi dress and hat: Forever 21. Top: Thirfted.
I folded the top of the dress down to wear it as a skirt instead. I’m not sure why I did that instead of just putting the shirt over the dress… it would probably look the same, except you wouldn’t get the added wardrobe malfunction of my bra showing. I think I secretly like showing off my undergarments.
Another not so secret secret, I live in pajamas. Except when I’m dressed. Which is only to take pictures for this blog. (Ok, and for going to work and other general leaving the house activities). I like to be comfortable and that’s why I love this outfit – I didn’t have to fuss over anything. I actually wore it all day, even when I was at home. I’m kind of known for making a bee line to change into pajams or leggings the second I step into the front door – so successfully wearing an outfit all day is kind of a big deal.
I’m trying to wear hats more. I think it makes a more simple outfit look more put together (aka makes it look like I tried). The secret to wearing hats and not feeling weird (if you’re not used to wearing them) is just pretending like you feel totally normal.
Remember when I told you that I like to lean over in pictures? It’s still true.
Happy Monday!
