I don’t think the jumpsuit trend will ever end for me. It’s just too easy. Even when it goes back to just being for babies and little kids, I’ll still be here, wearing my jumpsuits, being more comfortable than you. Yes, it makes using the restroom more of a chore, especially if I have a jacket on, but I think the all day comfort wins. I don’t even rush to change into my sweats when I get home if I’m wearing a jumpsuit because it already feels like I’m in them. It’s genius, really.

And these platform sandals are everything to me and I’ve owned them for les than 48 hours. I wasn’t sure if they were silly or cute, but at this point, I don’t even care because I get the height of heels and the comfort of flats and they are everything I didn’t know I needed and now I don’t want to take them off. Also, I feel like a Spice Girl. You know they were all about the platforms.

So that’s my life right now.

Oh, and we got a puppy. Scroll to the bottom to see the cutest little girl ever!

Meet Phoebe. The sweetest, tiniest Dachshund/Chihuahua mix. And yes, I have to look up the spelling to both of those every. damn. time. But she’s worth it.

Guys, she’s two pounds. That’s how much butter goes into one frosting recipe. How much do you want to cry right now at this tiny two pound puppy that only wants to give you kisses? So much, right?

Happy hump day! This week is crawling along, but that’s totally alright with me! I’m finally back to being healthy! I was so sick last week; I slept for about 3 days straight and that seemed to do the trick. Unfortunately, it looks like David might have caught my bug, so we’re hoping the same helps him.

We’re heading out of town this weekend for a family reunion of some sorts. Every year we do what we refer to as “second Christmas” with my mom’s family in January. My mom’s side of the family is a bit scattered so it’s the one time of year that we are all able to get together. I think my favorite part is just listening to my mom and her sisters tell stories; It never fails that everyone ends up in tears from laughter, even if we’ve heard the stories or jokes before. Also, it’s a second Christmas. What’s better than Christmas? A second one. True.

Did you catch my Snapchat (@crossroadsstyle) takeover for Crossroads on Sunday? If not, you must not be following me on social media; Check out the links above or below (obviously shameless self promotion for the win) and be sure to follow for updates. If you did, you would recognize this outfit and know that we went to the Rose Bowl Flea Market. It was our first time there, and actually, my first time out of the house in a few days after my hibernation, and it felt really nice to get dressed and be a real human again. Too bad we didn’t  need anything, because I fell in love with a couple things; It’s always the furniture that gets me!

Honestly, I like the Melrose Trading Post better. It’s smaller, which I like because I can see everything in one trip. The Rose Bowl just has more space for more crap. We were just getting to the good stuff when everyone started packing up, so I could be too quick to judge just yet.

We didn’t spend too much time at the flea market. We slept in and took our time getting there and it closed earlier than we expected. I ended up falling asleep in the car on the way home, so clearly good times were had. Also, clearly I am getting old when I can’t handle a 30 minute drive without falling asleep.

The countdown is officially on for Christmas; 10 days! I’m not quite down with my gift shopping just yet. Traveling for the holidays make it a bit hard to shop. So far, I’ve bought everything online and shipped it home, but there are a few things I may only be able to get in stores, so I will need to wait on those and cross my fingers! I head up to Sacramento this weekend for a very well deserved 10 day break from real life. I am so excited to relax and spend time with family and friends for Christmas.

We have no plans for New Year’s and I think we might keep it that way. We’re already the boring, old married couple and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I am totally obsessed with this hat. We went to a vintage flea market a few weeks ago and I instantly snatched it up. It definitely makes a basic outfit a bit more than it is. And these sunglasses? I had to think about them for a minute, but I picked them up at the Melrose Trading Post for the same reason as the hat.

I hope you are enjoying this Christmas season and are able to spend it with loved ones. Untitled
