Life is pretty tame these days. I’m trying my best to lay low and rest so I can completely recover from this viral infection I’ve had for the last few weeks. I typically jump back into life, hanging out with friends, and working out too soon after being sick and it makes my symtpoms linger. I feel super lazy and guilty for being such a bum, but it’s definitely in my best interest to take care of myself. I want to be able to be able to enojy this holiday season, being healthy and happy!

I think you can tell how pale and weak I am even in these photos! This was a mid day, no makeup, weekend sandwich run!

First of all, is it allowed to express love over a pair of jeans? These jeans are the best. The flare is so wide, I wasn’t sure at first, but I just could not leave them behind!

Second, this tunic? So fun! I use to dress with more of a boho flare and I feel that I’ve transistioned a bit to a more minimalistic style, but I can’t help but revisit that boho look sometimes.

It is so insane to me that it’s mid November and almost Thanksgiving. I am so excited for the holidays!

It’s kind of, almost, sort of Fall in LA now. Basically it’s not in the triple digits and we can open our windows at night. That’s a plus!

I’m going home to Sacramento this weekend and I’m so excited! I haven’t been since the 4th of July and that’s way too long for me. I know some people only go home a couple times a year, but I can’t do that. Also, I need quick, easy Halloween costume ideas. I’ve never been a Halloween person, but I’m not a party pooper! I think by the time Halloween comes around, I’m already onto Thanksgiving and Christmas, so it kind of just passes me by.

I’m not typically a jewelry person because I am so indecisive, I apparently have expensive taste, and I never know what goes with what, but when RocksBox approached me and I took a look at what they had to offer, I couldn’t turn it down; it’s literally the answer to all my jewelry problems. First world issues, I know, I know. Rocksbox is a monthly subscription based jewelry rental service; For only $19 a month, you can rent 3 pieces of designer jewelry at a time and return the box, anytime you are ready, or you can choose to buy the pieces if you fall in love. Free shipping both ways, a $10 credit each month towards buying jewelry pieces if you choose to, and no specific time frame to send back the pieces. Um, I’m a fan!

Use the code jenniferbeilexoxo to sign up for RocksBox and your first month will be free! I’m totally in love with this Sophie Harper Gold Bar Layer Necklace. I can’t wait to show you what else I received in my October package!

Hey, it’s just me. Still waiting for Fall to start. Any day now LA. Green leaves are beautiful and all, but I’m ready for some orange and red. Hell, I’ll take bare trees if that’s what you need to do. I just really need a bit of Fall in my life. I’ll keep pretending and wearing sweaters, hats, and jackets while I crank up the air conditioner, just to make myself feel better. Yeah, I’m that whiny LA resident. I miss seasons. You can take the sunshine and warmth, all of it. I just want a crisp Fall. Luckily I am going home for a long weekend in a couple of weeks. It’s been hot there too, but should cool off by then.

In other news, I am impatiently waiting for Thanksgiving and Christmas and I am another one of those people who have been extremely excited to already see Christmas up in stores. If you don’t like it, steer clear of Target and Michaels for sure. I’ll take it all in, enough for all of you.

This whole entry has come off very passive aggressive so far, hasn’t it. I think my unintentional blog break made me a bit rusty.

Let’s start over. Happy hump day!

How completely dorky would it be for me to create a holiday bucket list; Maybe my own version of the 25 Days of Christmas? I feel like I wait all year long for this time of season and then it’s over in a blink of an eye and I’m just left wallowing in my post holiday depression.

If you have any ideas, I’d love to hear them!

Also, this blog needs a major overhaul and a face lift; a real domain, regular content and scheduled posts, possibly a professional photographer so I don’t have to drag my poor husband around. I’m trying to find some time to really learn just how to go about that. I don’t typically make New Year’s resolutions, but this year might have to change.

Happy first day of Autumn! Now if only the weather will start cooperating over here in California. Those of you who live in areas with temperatures already dropping are probably massively eye rolling me, right? The grass is always greener, my friends!

UntitledWe spent Sunday exploring the Pop Up Flea at The Grove. I was a bit disappointed because when going to a flea market, I am expecting more vintage, craft, unique items for a bargain; The set up at this pop up was made up of all very new, curated, very expensive items. Oddly enough, mostly leather goods geared towards men. I went hoping for more women’s clothing and home accessories. Don’t get me wrong, everything was well made and crafted, but it just was not what I was expecting. We ended up spending a few hours shopping around The Grove after and I treated myself to a few goodies from Nordstrom and Topshop that I am pretty excited about!

I am literally obsessed with this jumpsuit and have already worn it out. Literally. Last time I wore it to work, I noticed a little split in the seam, right down my backside. Luckily, I have a couple fantastic co-workers and I was sewed up in no time.

I probably walked around this little pop up about 7 times. Even though I knew I couldn’t actually afford anything, it all was really beautiful and the craftsmanship was worth paying detailed attention to. David took his quick spin around and then spent some time in Barnes and Noble while I shopped the rest of the afternoon; With his encouragement! What a good husband, right?
