Here is my second look for the evening festivities of the Crossroads Camp 2014!

I am in love with this romper. I’ve accumulated a few rompers recently. When they first became a trend a while back, I could not for the life of me find any that fit me correctly; I gave up, thinking I was just a bit too tall. No one needs an extra toe if you catch my drift. And then I found this beauty on the clearance rack of Urban Outfitters. The clasp in the back is broken so I have to use a safety pin to close it, but I normally have my hair down and it was about 80 percent off, so I deal.

The night of the Crossroads Camp was full of great food and wine, great company, and fabulous DIYs!

I bet if I didn’t mention the safety pin, you wouldn’t have even noticed!

I know I said it in the first post, but I am so thankful that I was able to go on this trip, as short as it was. I met amazing people and felt that I was really able to break out of my shell. I am not normally a reserved person with friends and family, but when I am in groups of people I don’t know, I can be pretty quiet and feel awkward. I was a bit nervous about the road trip portion of the trip; being in a car with six other girls I never met, but it was so much fun. I felt like I belonged and we all got along fantastically!

Dinner was wonderful, it was all organic and locally sourced. We then moved on to some DIY stations and helped the Crossroads Trading Co team with some fun projects! On a whim, I decided to distress the jacket I was wearing! Below is what it looked like after I attacked it with an exacto knife. I haven’t had a chance to throw it in the wash yet, but I am excited to share it with you after it is completed!

Thank you for teaching me the ways of denim distressing, Beth!

I think the picture below shows just how much I love pockets; this is my frustrated reaction to not knowing what to do with my hands when I don’t have pockets.

So attractive.

  1. The hat really makes the look work! Also, I just uploaded one of my favourite summer layered looks featuring a navy/black theme with a TOGA PULLA MESH BOMBER, ALEXANADERWANG backpack, and practical-chic BIRKENSTOCKS, hope you get inspired and wonderfully #PROVOKED! #NAVYISTHENEWBLACK

  6. It’s hard to find well-fitting rompers if you’re tall or short. A lot of the ones I try on are ridiculously long in the bodice and I’d imagine you have the opposite problem. So glad you found a cute one that fits! I love the cutout on yours!

  7. Gorgeous!! That is a fantastic romper. I have a love/hate relationship with rompers as well… The size never seems to be right + you have to get nude every time you need to use a public restroom! Oh, the things we do for fashion.
